One of the world's first web design companies, Empty Street Productions was founded in 1993 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Countless trees were killed and fingertips smudged following the exploits of the Empty Street team as they blazed new trails online, including the first rock concert on the web, the web's first live newscast, and groundbreaking virtual reality work for the Olympics.
Oh yeah, they also designed and built a whole bunch of corporate websites.
Empty Street is survived by Patrick Ortman's eponymous los angeles, california digital agency PatrickOrtman, Inc. and Stacy Steinkuller's san diego based Sarelia Development.
