Marymount College
Empty Street designed, built, and maintains the Marymount College website. Marymount has been our client since 1997.
The site features a QuickTimeVR tour of the campus and is built on a Microsoft SQL Server/ASP foundation. The site was designed with an eye for web standards and uses CSS2 for design and layout tasks.
Marymount College highly values Emptystreet and the outstanding work that this firm and its founder and principal, Patrick Ortman, have performed on the College’s behalf for many years. Emptystreet partnered with Marymount to create as well as to update the College’s Web site, and we have always appreciated the imagination and expertise that Pat and Emptystreet have brought to the table. We also want to acknowledge Pat’s professionalism and integrity, two of the many qualities we also endeavor to model for our students.

The structure of the website was built to allow ongoing design and layout updates without requiring a complete web redesign. Students can apply to the college online (in fact, over 68% of current students applied online in 2005).
In 2007, Marymount entered the online video era, with a dozen short podcasts (short video interview segments) that present life at Marymount to prospective students and parents.
The site also features a content management system.
